Roger Koehler

A veteran cyber operations leader with decades of military and civilian expertise.

As the Chief Information Security Officer at Huntress, Roger Koehler brings more than 25 years of overlapping civilian and military experience in cyber operations, information assurance, and telecommunications. A proven technical leader, he has dedicated his career to driving technological innovation and enhancing cybersecurity practices. 

Roger initially served as the Vice President of Threat Operations from April 2021 to December 2022 and served as our CISO until September 2024. He is passionate about protecting organizations from emerging cyber threats and fostering a culture of security awareness. 

Before joining Huntress, Roger primarily served in the United States Air Force, holding several key positions that shaped his expertise in cyber operations. He was the Deputy Commander of the 175th Cyberspace Operations Group and the Commander of the 276th Cyberspace Operations Squadron, where he led teams responsible for defending national security interests in cyberspace. He also served as the Director of Operations and as Chief of Standards and Evaluation for various Air Force cyberspace units.

Roger's academic credentials include a Master of Science in Telecommunications and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, both from Oklahoma State University. He has also completed programs at the USAF Air War College and the USAF Air Command and Staff College.
